What do you think about using blogs? What and how do you think blogs would be useful for education? Some people think using blogs in classrooms is a waste of students’ time. How would you respond?
Blogs could be very useful in the classroom if done right. The teacher can post assignments, show the students their grades, keep the students updated on events, post links for extra information on something they are learning in class, etc. There are an endless amount of ways blogs can be useful in the classroom. However, if the blogs are not updated frequently, and the students do not have access to computers at home, then using a blog will fail miserably. It really depends on the economic stature of the school in which you are teaching.
What are some ways that you could use he technology ideas in Chapter 6 to support your curriculum and student learners?
Students will be able to ask each other questions, as well as the teacher about the assignments without calling the teacher at home (which most would not do). Therefore, you have more student-teacher interaction, and no excuses for misinterpretation on assignments. They can form study groups, create reviews, and exchange ideas online as well. This provides for a more interactive classroom as well as keeps the students technologically up to date.

THIS IS SO BLOGGIN AWESOME!!!
I agree with you on the usefullness of blogs. I didn't even think about the down side of it. It would be bad, if a person didn't have access to a computer.....or if the teacher didn't keep it up to date.
